Math is all around us!

Miss Bourget's Class

 The children love to count different objects or sort them in sets.  Sorting activities are always fun when food is involved.  On Valentine's Day, we sorted our valentine hearts by color and by words or letters we recognized.  We also met with our Grade 5 buddy class and sorted a box of Smarties together.  We worked at counting how many Smarties are in a box, which color has the most in the box, we counted by 2’s and 5’s. 

In each unit we develop, the children can work on putting the numbers in the correct order from one to ten. These are some of the bear activities they played with.
